Sweet and Sticky Pork Chops

Sweet and sticky, hot and juicy pork chops on the griddle coming right up. Perfect for those days that are not meant for breakfast nor meant for lunch, but for brunch! These pork chops doused in honey, apple cider, soy pork chop sauce is ideal for picnicking outside and enjoying the Outdoor Living Wildfire Grill.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 – 20 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 thick-cut pork chops (about 1.5 inches thick)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic (ground or granulated), to taste
  • Avocado oil, for the griddle
  • Sweet and sticky sauce (see recipe below)
  • Green onions, thinly sliced, for garnish

Instructions

Season the Sweet and Sticky Pork Chops

  • Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, black pepper, and garlic.
  • Let them sit while the griddle preheats.

Preheat the Outdoor Living Wildfire Griddle

  • Set to low heat and preheat for 15 minutes.

Start Cooking the Sweet and Sticky Pork Chops

  • Drizzle a little avocado oil on the griddle.
  • Place the pork chops on the hot surface and cook for about 5 minutes.

Flip and Glaze

  • Flip the pork chops and brush generously with the sweet and sticky sauce.
  • As the sauce heats, it will begin to thicken and caramelize.

Build the Glaze and Finish Cooking

  • Continue cooking for a total of about 20 minutes, flipping every 2 minutes.
  • Move the pork chops through the thickened sauce on the griddle, brushing and coating them well until glossy and caramelized.
  • Cook until the pork reaches medium-well doneness.

Serve

  • Transfer the pork chops to a serving platter.
  • Spoon extra sauce from the griddle over the top.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.

Sweet and Sticky Pork Chop Sauce

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Yield: Enough for 4 pork chops

Ingredients

  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

Combine the Sweet and Sticky Pork Chop Sauce

  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, avocado oil, and black pepper until fully combined.
  • Set aside until ready to use.

Tip: Keep the heat low and stay patient. The slow caramelization is what gives these pork chops their deep color and sticky finish.
